About Me

Hi there! 👋 I'm Nicole Love, a Product Designer living in Nashville, TN. I'd like to introduce myself a little more informally than I normally would. In today's world of overdone portfolios, uber-polished design, and formal headshots, I feel we've lost the personal connection that used to accompany "about me" sections. I'd like to bring some of that back. So, without further ado, here is a very informal introduction focused, not on achievements, but on who I am as a designer and a person.

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐈 𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞 👍 • A blank canvas—so many opportunities! • Watching someone interact with something I've created • Beautiful photography (Which, I've found, is a rare treat to work with) • Emojis (Can you tell?)

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐈 𝐇𝐚𝐭𝐞 👎 • Collecting data for the sake of collecting data • Throwing ideas at the wall to "see what sticks" • Unintentionality (I believe you should do everything with purpose or it's ultimately meaningless)

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐈 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 😍 • Bright colors and gradients—oh my! • Imagery that makes you FEEL something • Awesome people who share the same vision as I do

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐈 𝐇𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 🤮 • Sub-par or overused stock photography (If you've seen it on multiple sites or a billboard, ditch it. Ditch it now.) • Difficult coffee makers or people—I don't have time for either 😆

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐈 𝐓𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐝 ⛔ • Taking myself too seriously • Scrunching my eyebrows while staring at the computer (Thanks, computer, for the new "11" lines between my brows) • Blaming the computer • The word "just" (it's such an unnecessary word)

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐈 𝐃𝐨 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 👓 • Write Fiction • Crochet + Knit (They're different, folks) • Read as many good books as I can get my hands on • Travel (I recently visited country #9: Ireland!) • Take pictures of my Yorkie
